MINIVAP VP Vision — the portable and multipurpose vapor pressure tester — includes the highest precision and comes with a pressure range between 0 and 2000 kPa. It is the first analyzer to earn certificates for robustness and durability, which demonstrates its excellence in engineering. Predicated on Grabner’s innovative Cockpit™ technology, the instrument provides unparalleled networking capabilities and allows global access to analyzers.
Engineered for Excellence
LPG, jet fuel, crude oil, gasoline, and solvents are measured by MINIVAP VP Vision. A wide pressure of 0–2000 kPa is provided by the analyzer but without affecting precision. Long-term testing has shown an unrivaled repeatability below 0.2 kPa. The recently developed Grabner 2D-Correction™ (273 points) and correct piston positioning ensure precise and exact results throughout the entire measuring range. The MINIVAP VP Vision analyzer integrates Grabner’s Sampling Pro™ valve design, which during the course of the ruggedness tests demonstrated to be an excellent piston-based design for reducing cross-contamination between different types of samples.
Simplicity and Flexibility
The MINIVAP VP Vision exclusively integrates flexibility with ease of use. Thanks to a contemporary, app-like user interface, measurements can be selected, started, and followed directly on the industry-proven 10” touch screen. Customized techniques can be added and measuring templates can be developed, all with just a few clicks. Additionally, Grabner’s Cockpit™ PC software provides the ultimate flexibility to laboratory managers. With the help of the software, measurement results obtained from multiple locations can be integrated.
Access. Anywhere. Anytime.
Through the Cockpit™ PC software, multiple instruments are automatically identified and devices all over the globe can be configured, monitored, diagnosed, serviced, and upgraded from one central laboratory. The software can be accessed via a secure VPN tunnel, providing true mobile access to instruments from anywhere at any time. A special call home function makes facilitates uplink to Grabner’s well-trained support team.
Durability and Robustness
The MINIVAP VP Vision from Grabner is the first vapor pressure tester certified to perform tests in hot, cold, and damp heat climate. It has demonstrated the potential to tolerate heavy shocks and vibrations coming from all directions. This instrument is perfect for use in military applications, harsh environments, or mobile laboratories.
Most Versatile, Most Complete
The MINIVAP VP Vision instrument is completely configured for performing all major vapor pressure techniques. Every analyzer includes a shaker in order to provide quick equilibrium for crude oil and V/L ratio tests.
Highest Accuracy - Lowest Limit: Low Volatility Model MINIVAP VPL VisionProduct | Small | MINIVAP VPL Vision
Even though the conventional VP model is developed to endure pressures up to 20 bar, some applications need increased measurement sensitivity for extremely low-volatile samples. These applications include, for instance, the measurement of diesel, flavors and fragrances, or oils. For low volatility measurements up to 150 kPa (21.8 psi), the MINIVAP VPL Vision model provides a perfect solution. Moreover, for low-volatile samples, the instrument shows a measuring repeatability better than 0.1 kPa.
Direct/Indirect Determination of the Absolute Vapor Pressure ("VOC-Methods")
The model MINIVAP VPL Vision was particularly developed for automating the manual ASTM D2879 Standard Test Method for Vapor Pressure by Isoteniscope for low-volatile samples, which is utilized by the chemical industry. The instrument includes a direct and an extrapolated “VOC” method for measuring absolute vapor pressure of both single- and multi-component samples.
The direct “VOC”-method is a static technique used for determining the absolute vapor pressure essential for safety data sheets. Furthermore, the indirect technique makes it possible to extrapolate to very low pressures or to temperatures that surpass the temperature range (-100 °C to +300 °C) of the instruments. Results obtained from both techniques are comparable to the static ASTM D2879 Isoteniscope technique but do not need sample evacuation before testing. On the basis of the GRABNER Triple Expansion Method, air/gases are eliminated automatically from the measurement result and the sample composition is maintained at the time of measurements.
“VOC”- methods are provided in the VP Vision as well as the MINIVAP VPL analyzers. As there is a better sensitivity for low-volatile samples, the precision of the VPL Vision is considerably better in the pressure range of 0.1 kPa to 30 kPa.
