PSI Stock Acquired by MEAS

Measurement Specialties Inc. (MEAS), a leading designer and developer of sensing devices and sensor-based systems, declared the procurement of Pressure Systems Inc. (PSI).

Hampton-based PSI is a world-wide leader in pressure sensing equipments for use in aerospace research sectors as well as in water validation within resource management and operational applications. MEAS purchased the unsettled PSI capital stock from its parent company Esterline Technologies Corp. for nearly $25 million on September 8, 2010.

Frank Guidone, CEO stated that they are pleased to include PSI to their pressure sensing equipment series, since PSI serves the aerospace research sector by advancing and supplying its novel pressure sensors for aircraft businesses apart from its power generation and aero-propulsion turbine development and maintenance and other turbo machineries for industrial applications. He remarked that the water evaluation sector is flourishing with MEAS and the PSI’s hydrostatic water level monitoring systems and their pressure transducers will serve the purpose. He also added that since PSI is close to the MEAS Hampton facility centre, they can perform the operations in their facility itself thus reducing expenditure by a combination of business.
