MEGGITT Sensing Systems, a provider of monitoring and sensing devices that gauge physical factors in adverse conditions, has unveiled a pressure sensor named the Endevco 8510C high-sensitivity piezoresistive dynamic pressure transducer.
The Endevco 8510C is a handy, hardy, high-sensitivity and high quality pressure transducer, which is more suitable for measuring variable pressure. The transducer is offered with a full-scale output value of 225mV in three pressure ranges of 15, 50 and 100 psig.
The pressure transducer provides high yield within a tiny and low-mass package , which has a weight of 2.3g and a diameter face of 3.86 mm. The other salient qualities of the transducer are shock resistance up to 20,000 g, high constancy in transients and a non-linearity of less than 1% to threefold over-range with a burst pressure of 4X minimum.
The 8510C has a strain gauge bridge ion with four arms entrenched into a diaphragm made up of silicon. The design of the diaphragm yields a wideband frequency response and offers twofold sensitivity when compared to that of the conventional flat diaphragms, which in turn provides enhanced resolution. The incorporated hybrid temperature compensation enables the transducer to work consistently over a wide temperature range between -18°C and +93°C.
