Saelig has unveiled its LoadSense that can be incorporated into a crane hook, fork lift or other handling solution for feedback of loading details.
It features an on-board single-chip computer that records, analyzes and stores data. It also features wireless communications to transmit information to a host computer.
It enhances efficiency and cost- efficiency in industrial operations, allowing integrating weight measurement with handling work. The internal battery-power helps independent operation without trailing. The device is easy to install and does not need special training for operation.
It has a load sensor, a hand-held display and a receiver. The load sensor has a calibration range of 1-10tonnes. The transmitter functions on 2.4GHz and helps error-free information to be sent and received. Precise load data is transmitted to the handheld display. The load cell also offers data logging and storage facilities for further downloading into a PC.
It is ideal for applications such as materials handling and warehouse operations, raising nuclear fuel rods, monitoring window cleaning cradles on high rise buildings, and winching and weighing building materials. It is also used to assess helicopter loads.
