Research and Markets has added John Wiley and Sons book ‘Fiber Optic Sensors: An Introduction for Engineers and Scientists, 2nd Edition to their portfolio.

According to the authors, the book could be used by academicians because of the myriad applications of fibre optic sensors. The book will also be useful to physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, aerospace engineering and bioengineering segments.

The book will support the academic programs, fundamental components and optical concepts and upgrades/updates on optical fiber, light sources, detectors and modulators. Each chapter will be updated with upgrades of the fiber etalon, and the intensity sensor chapter will  have two parts. A new chapter will be included on fiber grating sensors and Brillouin distributed sensing. The application chapters in the first edition will be updated and new application chapters will also be included on fiber biosensors and fiber optic civil structures. The fiber optic smart structure chapter will be completely reworked. Questions will support undergraduate and graduate level courses.
