Mantracourt Releases Strain Gauge to USB Converter for High Accuracy Measurement

An industrial measurement technology company, Mantracourt has released a compact digital signal conditioner, the Strain Gauge to USB Converter (DSCUSB). Available with USB connectivity, it is ideal for applications that require high precision measurement.

The DSCUSB, capable of converting a strain gauge input into a digital USB serial output, is bundled with data logging software. It is suitable for various strain gauge sensors such as pressure, torque, displacement, force, load, weight and strain.

The converter is covered by a rugged metal casing and is a combination of an analogue-to-digital converter with a USB serial interface and a compact precision strain-gauge conditioning amplifier. It features seven-point transducer linearisation algorithms and a five-point temperature compensation that can be accessed through a communication port.

Additionally, a shunt calibration resistor is also featured onboard the DSCUSB. The resolution can be set to 1/66000 and programmed to increase by 500 points every second. It also features a built-in peak-and-through recording.
