Micro-Epsilon Introduces its New optoNCDT 1402SC Laser Sensor

Micro-Epsilon has introduced the latest version of the company’s optoNCDT 1402 laser sensor.

This novel optoNCDT 1402SC sensor is IP69K protected and contains a stainless steel housing, making it suitable for measuring position, distance, displacement in harsh environments such as food processing, outdoor use as well as other rough process manufacturing applications.

Available in eight different models, the measuring range of the new sensor is from 5 mm to 600 mm. This lightweight, compact, robust sensor can be easily integrated by OEMs and machine builders into their present systems.

Since the housing of the new sensor is made out of V4A steel, it is compliant with all of the requirements of the food industry. The sensor is resistant to disinfection agents, aggressive cleaning detergents and high-pressure jet washing.

The sensor features a real time surface compensation (RTSC) controller that enables machine builders and OEMs to precisely measure various object parameters such as roundness, thickness, deflection, position, displacement, tilt and vibration.

The housing of the sensor measures only 50mm (H) x 65mm (L) x 20mm (W). The integral controller and compact design facilitate rapid installation and mounting. This integral controller will assist systems integrators and machine builders to decrease wiring expenses.
