iTHERM TM911 Multipoint Thermometer from Endress+Hauser

Endress+Hauser  presents iTHERM TM911, a multipoint thermometer that has simultaneous measurement capabilities. Typically, multipoint thermometers are used for measuring and controlling temperature profiles of substances in reactors and are ideally  used in explosive and hazardous environments.

iTHERM TM911, a multipoint thermometer

Designed for use in oil and gas applications, the iTHERM TM911, meets international safety standard requirements for aggressive industrial environments. Along a thermowell, it can measure up to 12 temperature points simultaneously. Temperature points in the thermometer facilitate reactor compartment profiling, which enables temperature distribution information.

The multipoint thermometer consists of a connection box, safety chamber, exchangeable measurement inserts, and thermowell tube integrated with a protuberance process connection. Each component is available as a standardized part that can be replaced when required depending on the temperature, presence of corrosive elements, and pressure of the thermometer.

The safety chamber, built with a patented and unique concept, can hold three process barriers. The replacement of probes is possible during operation without the need to negate safety, paving the path for increased plant productivity through reduced downtime. Endress+Hauser recommend a pressure transmitter, such as Cerabar S, for leak detection inside the chamber. The thermometer’s construction allows users to exchange modules, such as seals, safety valves, thermowell assemblies, and safety chambers.
