Tradeshow Talks with Ilika Technologies - IoT Tech 2018

Tradeshow Talks with Ilika TechnologiesBooth 437

Please give an overview of what Ilika Technologies do.

Ilika technologies are developing a new type of battery, called a solid state battery. These are miniaturized batteries that you can insert in IoT autonomous sensor.

What are you highlighting at the IoT Tech Expo?

We have a roadmap of products, but we are here today to in particular to promote our high temperature batteries. This is a battery that works up to 150 degrees, and that's pretty unique. I can give two examples of where a battery like this is important; the engine in the car, or a hot piece of machinery in a factory. These need sensors, and the battery in particular needs to operate at a higher temperature. This product is called a P180.

Are there any other applications?

The batteries are important in any device which needs to have a long-life battery that is miniature in size. For example, in med-tech implantable devices, or in a smart car next to the engine where it can be left for years to take measurements. Similarly, in a smart factory, to monitor their health or a machine that works at a high temperature.

Additionally, we can provide smart sensors in your home for a smart home or smart cities. We are really across the board.

What do you hope to gain from IoT Tech?

We love learning about the ecosystem, and we need to understand what the ecosystem is so that we can advance our batteries.

We’re also here to educate people about what they can do with our batteries and therefore we hope to meet new business opportunities.
