Tell us about your company and why you are here today at SENSOR+TEST 2018.
I am responsible in Germany for the testing division within the digital factor v-sector subsegment of product life and management. We were formally the company LMS. LMS stands for Leuven Measurement System. It's a national company based in Leuven in Belgium, very close to Brussels. And Siemens bought the company about five years ago, and we have been integrated fully in the PL world. We are showing our testing solution products based on hardware and software. The hardware is manufactured in the Netherlands and the software has been mainly developed in Belgium, in Leuven.
We are highlighting a completely electro-driven car. You can really drive this car on the road, and we have driven a lot of kilometers and acquired data in the field just to be able to have an idea of the lifetime of the components and so on.
Would you say this is unique in the marketplace at the moment?
This product is quite unique. We started showing the car at the automotive testing expo. This is a very, very important fair for us in Stuttgart. It was held a couple of weeks ago, and now we are representing again to give a full picture of what it is possible in the world of testing solution.
Testing solution is, the third column within the Sims center product license center containing simulation, computation, some multi-body simulation as well. A second important sector is the 1T simulation platform where you can model the physic of complex systems. At the end, you have a testing solution to verify on a real object that you have simulated before.
