What are you showcasing at Sensors Expo & Conference this year?
What we are demonstrating at this Sensor Expo is the Invensas product family, which is our semiconductor module solutions. This is 3D technology, primarily for sensors and other applications. For example, we have very high quality, premium image sensors used in camera phones.
In our semiconductors we put a lot more in a 2-dimensional space. A lot more functionality goes into it. We have shrunk every, single thing. We are now getting to the point where we cannot shrink anymore. So now we have to build vertically. That's what we are doing here. We do that much better than anybody else in the world, and very efficiently. That's why companies like Sony utilize our technologies in the latest and greatest smartphones.
Not only do we make the products small, but we also put in a lot more features. We help to miniaturize that device itself, but we also improve the power efficiency. We also increase the performance through our technology. That's what we are forecasting. Not only with the image sensor, but also other sensors. You need products that are smaller, lower cost, and also high-performance. Our technology, I know, does that.
Is there a particular application area that your products apply to?
Our primary success come from the image sensor and the imaging space. Sony omni vision and few others - their licenses are technologies we prioritize. But now we have moved to other areas, like memory. A lot of this memory goes into every system. If you a go to a computer or even a data center, like the Cloud, they use a lot of processes and memory. You need a very high-density memory to store all of the data and you need to access that data fast from the computer chip. There is a combination needed between a memory and a processor.
We have a unique technology to deal with that. We created the chips, process and memory so you can carry out data transfer much faster. It is all about the surface area. There are some alternative technologies out there that we are different to, in terms of enabling performance.
What would you like to get out of the show?
A lot of our target customers or partners are showcasing here and all of these are potential beneficiaries that could utilize our technologies. That's what we believe. We would like to have direct conversations with them. That's why we are showcasing our technologies and the benefit of them.
