Third AEHF Military Communication Satellite Successfully Launched Aboard ULA Atlas V Rocket

The third Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) military communication satellite, built by a Lockheed Martin team for the U.S. Air Force, was successfully launched today at 4:10 a.m. from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station aboard a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket. Lockheed Martin confirmed signal acquisition at 51 minutes after launch.

New Solid Phase Epitaxy Process to Integrate GeSn MOSFET Devices on Silicon

KULeuven, imec and AIST have developed a solid phase epitaxy process to integrate GermaniumTin (GeSn) metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) devices on silicon. For the first time, operation of depletion-mode junctionless GeSn pMOSFET on silicon was demonstrated, an important step toward achieving tensile strain in MOSFET devices, and increasing their mobility.
