Texas A&M Professor Wins NSF CAREER Award for Research into Flow-Based Cyber Physical Systems

Dr. Radu Stoleru, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University, was named a National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award recipient for his continuing research into the newly emerging field of flow-based cyber-physical system.

Selex Highlights Surveillance Radar and Platform Agnostic Advanced Sensor Mission Management System at LAAD 2013

Selex ES, a Finmeccanica company, is attending LAAD 2013, taking place in Rio de Janeiro, from 9th to 12th April 2013, showcasing its products within the Finmeccanica stands in the aerospace area - hall 4, stand G30-, in the Army area - hall 3, stand P48 –, in the naval area - hall 2, stand X16 - and in the outdoor static exhibition, in stand 40, by displaying a number of products which range from airborne to land and naval applications. Shanghai Gaojing Acquires Advanced Photonix’s T-Gauge Terahertz Sensor

Advanced Photonix®, the leading supplier of terahertz systems to industry, announced today that it has sold a T-Gauge® terahertz sensor to Shanghai Gaojing in Shanghai, China. The system, equipped with a high-speed line scanner, will be integrated into a new security platform being developed as part of a major national program for security instrumentation.

X- and S-band Radars Acquire and Track Both Stages of Atlas V Rocket Launch

The Raytheon Company - led Cobra Judy Replacement (CJR) program surpassed expectations during its first tests against a live rocket launch on March 19. From approximately 100 miles off the Florida coast, the powerful X- and S-band radars integrated onboard the USNS Howard O. Lorenzen (T-AGM 25) successfully acquired and tracked both stages of an Atlas V rocket launched from Cape Canaveral and collected all associated data.

STMicroelectronics STHVDAC-304MF3 Antenna-Tuning Circuit Supports MIPI Alliance RF Front End

The STHVDAC-304MF3 antenna-tuning circuit has a 4-channel output for adjusting up to four tunable BST capacitors in the antenna-matching circuits of multi-band GSM/WCDMA/3G-LTE smartphones. A key feature is support for the MIPI Alliance RF Front End (RFFE), an emerging industry standard that simplifies cellular radio design.
