API Technologies Announces Availability of Quad Transmit Receive Modules as Standalone Module

API Technologies Corp., a leading provider of high performance RF, microwave, millimeterwave solutions, today announced that its Quad Transmit Receive Modules (QTRMs), part of the Company's Active Antenna Array Unit (AAAU) solution for AESA radar, is now available as a standalone module. API's QTRMs offer the industry's first stackable building block solution for E-Scan (electronically scanned) radar.

Middle East Air Base Selects Blighter B400 Series E-Scan Radars to Secure its Perimeter

Blighter Surveillance Systems, a British electronic-scanning (e-scan) radar and sensor solution provider, has been selected to supply its Blighter B400 Series e-scan radars to secure the perimeter of a strategic air base in the Middle East. The contract was awarded to Blighter by Unlimited Technology, Inc., a security market systems integrator based in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. The contract value was not disclosed.

New Fully Integrated Proximity and Ambient Light Sensor in Compact Package from Vishay Intertechnology

The Optoelectronics group of Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today introduced a new fully integrated proximity and ambient light sensor featuring Filtron™ technology in one of the market’s smallest surface-mount packages. Measuring only 4 mm by 2 mm by 1.1 mm, the VCNL4040 combines an IR emitter, photo detectors for proximity and ambient light, a signal processing IC, and a 16-bit ADC.
