FLIR Awarded Full-Rate Production Orders Under IDIQ Contract from U.S. DoD DR SKO Program

FLIR Systems, Inc. announced today that it has received the first full-rate production orders under a five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from the U.S. Department of Defense to support the Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Dismounted Reconnaissance Sets, Kits, and Outfits (DR SKO) program.

U.S. Army Lofts JLENS Cruise-Missile and Drone-Fighting Radar System Above Maryland

For the first time, the U.S. Army lofted a blimp equipped with a new cruise-missile and drone-fighting radar system high above rural Maryland. The system, made by Raytheon Company and known as JLENS, consists of two helium-filled aerostats, or tethered blimps, that float 10,000 feet above the ground and carry powerful radars.
