Toshiba Corporation today announced that, in collaboration with Electronic Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), it has received an order to supply an X-band dual polarization transportable Doppler weather radar system to India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Polish Government Places Order for 50 of NIITEK’s GROUNDSHARK Dual Sensor Handheld Detectors

NIITEK®, Inc., a subsidiary of Chemring Sensors & Electronics Systems (CSES), in partnership with Minelab Australia and IBCOL of Poland, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract for 50 GROUNDSHARK Dual Sensor Handheld Detectors from the Republic of Poland, State Treasury, Armament Inspectorate. The contract, issued through NIITEK’s distributor, IBCOL Polska Sp. z o.o. of Warsaw, Poland, is valued at $1.4 million.

Northrop Grumman to Produce Sensor Payloads for Fifth and Sixth SBIRS GEO Satellites

Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a $422 million contract from Lockheed Martin to produce sensor payloads on the fifth and sixth Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) satellites, known as GEO-5 and GEO-6. The U.S. Air Force's SBIRS provides the nation with continuous early warning of ballistic missile launches and other tactical intelligence.
