ECHONET Lite Certifies Toshiba Communication Unit for Compliance with SMA Specification

Toshiba Corporation today announced that its communication unit is the first to receive certification as meeting the Interface Specification for Application Layer Communication between Smart Electric Energy Meters and HEMS Controllers (hereafter “the SMA Specification”), the specification defined in a public-private agreement by the JSCA Smart House/Building Standardization and Business Promotion Study Group.

US DoD AIMS Certifies MEADS Mode 5 Identification Friend or Foe Subsystem

The Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) Mode 5 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) subsystem has received full certification for operation by the United States Department of Defense International AIMS (Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System, Identification Friend or Foe, Mark XII/Mark XIIA, Systems) Program Office. The system is designed to ensure the safety of allied aircrews engaged in combat operations.
