Microchip Technology Inc., a leading provider of microcontroller, mixed-signal, analog and Flash-IP solutions, today announced a new family of High-Speed (HS) CAN transceivers, the MCP2561/2. These new devices serve as an interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus.

NXP Introduces Dimmable Single-Stage Controller IC for Retrofit MR16 LED Lamps

NXP Semiconductors N.V. today unveiled the SSL3401 – a dimmable single-stage controller IC for retrofit MR16 LED lamps using 12V AC mains. The SSL3401 offers compatibility with an exceptionally wide range of dimmers and transformers – working with over 80% of the most common combinations – in a compact form factor that fits in all common available MR16 GU5.3 and AR111 housings and sockets. Supporting an ambient temperature range up to 105ºC, the SSL3401 also provides temperature rollback protection.
