Today, LifeBEAM, a leading developer of bio-sensing technology, announced the integration of its bio-sensing technology into the Lazer Sport's next generation smart helmets—the Wasp, Z1, Blade, and Magma—launching this week at EUROBIKE taking place Aug. 26-29, 2015.
Incorporating LifeBEAM's enhanced sensing technology, the new Lazer helmets allow users to seamlessly and accurately measure performance including heart rate and calorie consumption. Additionally, to meet the growing consumer demand for performance monitoring, LifeBEAM also unveiled an easily installable DIY heart rate tracking kit complete with a small, light-weight connectivity box.
LifeBEAM's DIY Kit allows consumers to interchange a connectivity box with an existing Lazer Sports helmet or one of the newly launched helmets, or switch between the two. Additionally for maximum flexibility, consumers have the option to purchase one of LifeBEAM's bio-sensing smart hats and move the connectivity box between the company's helmet or hat during multiple sports activities, such as in a triathlon.
"LifeBEAM's goal is to empower individuals to improve their health and well-being through actionable and meaningful insights," said Omri Yoffe, founder and CEO at LifeBEAM. "This new line of helmets coupled with our extended partnership with Lazer Sports is a testament to us delivering on this goal—providing the most advanced human performance monitoring capabilities on the market."
As the only company that provides aerospace accuracy for key vital monitoring, LifeBEAM's smart fitness gear pushes the boundaries of the wearable revolution while remaining intuitive to users. Head protection coupled with performance monitoring, the new helmets are ideal for a wide range of sports including mountain cycling, street racing, and daily commuting—seamlessly syncing with the top fitness applications and devices via Bluetooth and Ant+ while providing more than 15 hours of battery life. Eliminating the need to train with a chest strap that can cause chaffing and spotty connectivity, LifeBEAM bio-sensors are easily integrated into everyday wearables such as helmets, hats, visors and fitness textiles that consumers already use during physical activities.
"At Lazer Sport, we aim to provide consumers with the ideal blend of design, comfort, safety and technology," said Sean Van Weiss, CEO at Lazer Sport. "LifeBEAM continues to revolutionize the wearable technology industry and we are eager to continue transforming the cycling market with the integration of their technology into our products."
The new line of helmets will be on unveiled for the first time and available for trial at the EUROBIKE 2015 Booth #B5-101 from Aug.26-29 in Friedrichshafen, Germany. For more information, please visit www.life-beam.com.
