SAIC Promotes Technical and Engineering Support for ETASS Force Protection Missions

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a FORTUNE 500 company providing scientific, engineering and technology applications, proclaimed that they have received a deal from the Atlantic U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), for promoting the technical and engineering systems in support of the Enhanced Tactical Automated Security System (ETASS).

The multiple contracts for a single year basic operation is based on indefinite-quantity and delivery with four one-year choices and a maximum of $37 million for the awardees upon execution of all the actions.

ETASS is an instructing and governing stage assimilating a broad range of sensors and other technical innovations for various security missions. The system covers instantaneous visual evaluation, confrontation and boundary -detection technology, supporting power and communications infrastructure and command-and-control display equipments. These conditions are reinforced through the incorporation of thermal imagers, fiber-optic sensors, ground-surveillance radars and closed-circuit television cameras. Based on the agreement, SAIC will strengthen the system by combining a wider range of sensors, validation equipments and the command and control display systems into a compact security framework. The company will also furnish system updates to guarantee consistent interoperability and integration.

John Thomas, senior vice president and general manager of the business unit, SAIC stated that they are aiming to deliver advanced engineering and technical support by promoting their technology for ETASS in achieving their security missions.
