World Experts Discuss Recent Developments in Sensor Orientation & Calibration at EPFL

The International conference on Sensor Calibration & Orientation (EuroCOW) takes place at Polydome, EPFL between Feb 10-12, 2016. It brings together the world experts, both from public and private sectors, to present and discuss the recent findings and developments in sensor calibration, orientation, navigation and mobile mapping.

EuroCOW is biennial meeting organized on behalf of ISPRS (International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) and EuroSDR (European Spatial Data Research). With the recent development of autonomous platforms, this traditional field of photogrammetry and geodesy integrates with robotics, computer vision and system control. Within eight sessions and 4 half-days experts from academia and industry present the state-of-the-art in this mutlidisciplinary field. The conference precedes with a workshop on a new statistical approach called Generalized Method of Wavelet Moments (GMWM) development of which originated at EPFL and closes with a thematic workshop on mapping from UAV.
