Oregon Scientific has introduced a robust video camera with high-definition operation for sports admirers. The advanced ATC9K includes a G-sensor and GPS module which allows the users to document geographical and physical factors of their adventures, apart from the visual activities.
The unique G-sensor detects a motorcyclist's acceleration and retardation and the GPS module in the device aids the off-piste skiers to sketch down their routes from the mountain using their laptop.
Apart from video capturing, the ATC9K locates the area where the photographs were taken and shows the speed and distance covered and the entire data can even be registered on Google Maps.
For taking videos in extreme situations, the camera has a button recorder and a laser indicator to set up the motions even if it is tied to a helmet or a surfboard.
The ATC9K weighs 160g and is water repellent to about 20 metres, hence can be deployed by scuba divers or surfers. It is impervious to shock and in turn resists the bumps and knocks of motor sports off-road.
The camera can record video with high-definition in the range of 1080p and can take photos with five mega-pixel resolution. The mounting accessories supplied with it helps in fixing it into helmets, handlebars or boards.
