Electrolab announces the release of the RU Flex Model 2100 Digital Level Sensor (DLS). The RU Flex 2100 DLS is a flexible, extremely rugged, chemically and abrasion resistant digital level sensor offering continuous, accurate and reliable monitoring of tank level and temperature.
The RU Flex 2100 DLS offers an 18" flexible radius which allows for one person to install the sensor with no specialized equipment from a catwalk in 15 minutes or less, regardless of sensor length (the sensor is available in lengths from 2 to 48 feet). The sensor hose and components fit in one, flat box, which can be shipped standard carrier.
Built on Electrolab's proven, patented sensing technology, the RU Flex offers accurate measurement of up to two levels and eight temperature measurements in the same tank with a single sensor. In preparation for increasing accuracy standards in the proposed API 18.2 Custody Transfer Requirements, the RU Flex 2100 DLS offers 3/16" accuracy when ordered with 1/8" resolution.
The RU Flex Model 2100 DLS is intrinsically safe and UL Certified Class I, Div1 Group D for hazardous locations. The UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) hose's naturally non-stick characteristics prevent buildup from paraffin and asphaltene and other organic compounds and ensure the ongoing measurement accuracy of the device. Unlike other devices on the market which offer inferred level measurements, the RU Flex Model 2100 DLS provides for a direct measurement of level and temperature, as the sensor is in direct contact with the fluid in the tank. This design ensures that the RU Flex offers consistently accurate and reliable measurements. The device is suitable for production monitoring, inventory control, and leak detection in a variety of different types of storage tanks (crude oil, diesel, kerosene, gasoline, water, chemical and others).
"The RU Flex 2100 DLS employs proven Electrolab technology in a new package that offers ease of shipping, storage and installation with improved measurement accuracy ALL in one certified device, using just one port on the tank for both dual level and multi-temperature measurement. This product will be a game changer for our existing customers and open up markets for new customers," said Todd Mathias, President, Electrolab.
