DtiCorp.com, a leading Honeywell web-based distributor, is launching 19 Honeywell C7012 Purple Peeper solid-state UV Flame detecting devices. These electronic solid-state flame sensing devices can be deployed with Honeywell amplifiers and flame safety controls. The sensors detect ultraviolet rays resulting from the combustion of oil, coal, gas or other fuels.
The devices can be installed vertically, horizontally or in any angle and their electrical installation is made rapid by means of conduit thread fittings and colored lead cables in the device. The two parallel cables of the flame detectors permit easy nuisance shutdown and the five pin mating connector, C7012E1278 of the Brad Harrison type is not readily obtained through Honeywell. The C7012 A and E models are NEMA 4 certified and feature a pressure of 20 psi viewing window. The C7012 C and F model is protected with an explosion resistant casing which enables its utility in dangerous environments and the window viewing for this model is rated at 100 psi pressure.
The solid-state circuit that operates electronically delivers high security and promotes less power utility. The solid-state circuits dominate the vacuum-tube electron circuits. The auto-detecting C7012 E and F models need faceplate configuration and the in-built pointing reference units ensure appropriate shutting operations. The quartz window and the UV ray detecting tube can be replaced. The flame sighting is facilitated by a swivel mounting. The models can function in -40°F or -40°C.
The specific models can be utilized with Honeywell Flame Safeguard Controls using Ampli-Check Rectification (R7847B1072, R7247B,) Flame Signal Amplifiers and Honeywell Rectification (R7289A, R7247A, and R7847A1082). The C7012G models satisfy the DIN (German) and BGC (British) criteria. The Honeywell Dynamic auto-check (R7847C, R7247C) Flame Signal Amplifiers conducts UV tube checking.
