General Dynamics Granted $30 Million for Chemical/Biological Weapon Tracking

General Dynamics Corp, a division of contractor for defense, was awarded $30 million grant from the U.S. Army, for manufacturing and supporting the equipments that can track chemical and biological weapons.

The Armament and Technical Product division of General Dynamics was assigned the contract for six years and the company states that it has a value of about $300 million on the execution of all the operations. The supply dates and the quantity of the equipments needed, based on the agreement is vague.

According to General Dynamics the product division has been supplying 700 or more of such detectors from 2001.

The work on the detectors will commence at a facility in Charlotte, N.C in April which has 120 employees.
