Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (FLXT) and HTK reflect back on a tremendous outpouring of support stemming from last week's participation in WasteExpo 2016. As previously announced, this continues to lay the foundation for rapid market adoption of the fully patented HTK anti-rollaway "BrakeAlert" System with revenue expected to ramp in Q3 and Q4 of 2016.
The companies propelled the Bend Sensor® based HTK safety technology forward to all market stakeholders of the Waste and Environmental Services industry. According to Paul Sexauer, Flexpoint VP Sales and Marketing, "Industry-wide, weekly occurrences of rollaways result in the unfortunate realization of loss – property, injury and/or life. In North America alone, there are 100's of thousands of trucks in service every day that present risk where it doesn't need to exist." As one industry Executive commented, "This is a problem and it is not going away. We need a solution."
The 3 day conference yielded many productive discussions with truck OEM's, fleet owners, truck System Integrators, parts/service suppliers and complimentary technology providers as they try to bring forward solutions to address safety problems industry-wide.
Flexpoint, which also provides sales, marketing and fulfillment services to HTK, is pleased to announce new strategic relationships are being formalized coming out of last week's show. In the near-term the company will be finalizing multiple contracts with various suppliers including OEM's and Parts & Service providers which will add the HTK safety system to their solution portfolios. HTK and Flexpoint are committed to a channel sales strategy which will enable the business to scale rapidly.
Another key partnership was established with webcam technology provider Optimo Electronics - http://www.optimoelectronics.com/. Optimo Electronics delivers a comprehensive suite of video-based driver safety technology for the waste management industry. Optimo's adaptable video solutions are designed to allow operators drive comfortably, manage operations confidently and share the road safely. According to Nick Mitidiero, Optimo Vice President, "We are excited to partner with HTK Safety and feel the synergies between our collective technologies will have a major impact in the marketplace."
Sexauer further commented, "Webcams in trucks are becoming a staple and represent a key safety feature in and of themselves. When integrated with the HTK Safety System, the combined solution provides for tremendous risk and liability reduction, and it offers a driver training assessment and best practices toolset which will dramatically increase driver effectiveness. This represents an incredibly powerful integrated solution!"
