Global Information Inc. is releasing a novel market research assessment done by ElectroniCast, a global market/technology forecast consultancy, on the “Fiber Optic Sensors Global Market Forecast".
The rate of point optic fiber sensor utility in 2009 was about $534.41 million. ElectroniCast’s latest report forecasts that 1.796 million sensors of the point fiber optics will be marketed in 2014 leading to a higher consumption rate of $843.55 million. The average yearly utility of such sensors is growing exponentially with a rate of 9.56%.
ElectroniCast stated that optical transmission modules and components deployed in the monitoring and measurement equipments had a world-wide utility of 44% or $669 million in consumption in the year 2009.
Moreover, the constant distribution of optic fiber devices is anticipated to dictate the market share by the extended use of such sensors in the field of civil engineering/construction, petrochemical/energy, military/security and industrial areas.
