Tekscan, a global producer of highly-thin sensors and tangible pressure and force measurement systems, has released tactile pressure sensing devices for exploiting high thermal spots up to 200 °C or 400 °F. This matrix supported high temperature pressure sensors are extremely thin with 0.2 mm or 0.008 inch in thickness.
The sensors are suitable for non-intrusive pressure checking between the contacting areas and are widely used in various applications involving print rollers and nips, laminating, web handling and converting, heat sealing, injection molding and packaging.
The pressure sensing systems calculate the pressure distribution between mating surfaces, detects high-pressure areas and low pressure zones and monitors force modulations and pressure distributions over every period.
The information obtained from the unique I-Scan® pressure monitoring system will aid in lessening the set-up time of the machine, perform quality control checking on the machinery and its parts, help in designing and validating the product, enhance trouble shooting mechanisms and executes general testing.
Tekscan’s sensors and systems perform a wide-variety of applications in research and development, test and measurement, medical, industrial and dental areas.
