Customer Demonstrations, Product Previews and Spotlights
At CTIA Super Mobility 2016 Digi representatives will be conducting a numbers of activities, including the following:
- CTIA Spotlight Talk with ElectriCities – on Wednesday, September 7th at 4:00 pm PDT in the M2M Zone Pavillion, Digi International and ElectriCities will present a session titled, “Digi Wireless Solution Saves Thousands for ElectriCities.” Hosted by Curt Ahart, vice president cellular product management, Digi International and John Coates, applications engineer, ElectriCities, will detail how the management services supplier to North Carolina municipal power agencies, saved more than $300,000 annually on telemetry charges with a Digi wireless remote monitoring system by obtaining real-time data on substation meters and generators in the field.
- Digi XBee ® with Cellular - Digi will be previewing an upcoming addition to the Digi XBee ecosystem. Available for use on the Verizon network, this soon-to-be-released cellular-enabled Digi XBee will allow OEMs to quickly and easily integrate cutting-edge 4G LTE CAT 1 cellular technology into their devices and applications without dealing with the time-consuming, expensive FCC and carrier end-device certifications. With the full suite of standard Digi XBee API frames and AT commands, existing Digi XBee customers will be able to seamlessly transition to this new module. Digi XBee with Celluar will provide the flexibility to switch between wireless protocols or frequencies as needed, ideal for any business with an agile roadmap.
- Digi Connect™ Sensor – Throughout the show, Digi will be demonstrating Digi Connect Sensors’ flexibility in a variety of industrial IoT applications, real-time modification capabilities and integration with Digi Device Cloud™. Digi Connect Sensor is a battery-powered, enterprise-ready, cellular gateway solution for wireless connectivity at locations with either no power or low power. In offering a plug-and-play solution, Digi Connect Sensor allows for remote sensor monitoring to be deployed in environments previously considered too harsh, remote or not economically viable.
- Digi ConnectCore ® for i.MX6UL – Digi’s ConnectCore for i.MX6UL is a new embedded module platform that delivers a connected System-on-Module (SOM) with integrated dual-band 802.11ac wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity in a low-profile surface mount form factor slightly larger than a postage stamp. Digi representatives will be available to discuss the upcoming products features, including the patent-pending Digi SMTplus™ surface mount form factor that provides two integration options (fully featured LGA, and simplified castellated edge vias) and the new Digi TrustFence™ Device Security Framework that offers the critical features required to protect today’s connected devices and applications.
