Thermo Fisher Scientific distributes a variety of accurate, flexible and reliable ultrasonic flow meters, vortex multivariable flow meters, fixed and portable flowmeters from GE.
Clamp-on flow meters are cost competitive that can minimize downtime while improve productivity.
The GE ultrasonic clamp-on flow meter offers and covers a wide range of possibilities & opportunities in flow measurement. They combine a state-of-the-art flow measurement capability with a low-cost transmitter package that can be installed right at the process measurement point.
The flow meter uses Transit Time flow measurement. With this method, two transducers serve as both ultrasonic signal generator and receiver. They are in acoustic communication with each other, which means the second transducer can receive ultrasonic signals transmitted by the first transducer and vice versa.
The difference between the downstream and upstream transit ties is proportional to the velocity of the flowing liquid and its sign indicates the direction of flow.
Clamp-on transducers offer maximum convenience, flexibility at a very low installation cost compared to traditional flow metering technologies. Meanwhile, clamp-on transducers provide better than 1% of reading accuracy in most applications.
