Basler expands the portfolio of its most successful camera series by four new, high-resolution ace U models with the Sony IMX183 sensor. The new cameras offer 20 MP resolution at frame rates of up to 17 frames per second. They are particularly suitable for applications that require a detailed inspection of the finest structures.
Camera manufacturer Basler presents four new ace U models with the rolling shutter CMOS sensor IMX183 from the Sony Exmor R series.
The cameras offer a resolution of 20 megapixels with a sensor size of 1" and a compact design with 29 mm x 29 mm footprint. This combination makes the four new ace U models particularly attractive for inspection of the finest structures, such as in PCB or display production. Constant increases in the resolution of modern displays require ever-higher resolutions in the inspecting camera. The four new high-resolution ace U models feature Basler's PGI feature set for color and monochrome cameras, which corrects unwanted artifacts. This allows users a particularly good image evaluation at the pixel level. Thus, Basler enables detailed inspection of high-resolution displays with excellent image quality at a very attractive price.
The innovative BI (back-illuminated) sensor technology of the Sony IMX183 provides excellent sensitivity and low noise at a small pixel size of 2.4 µm. With this particularly light-sensitive sensor, the four new ace cameras offer outstanding image quality even in low light conditions.
All four new ace U cameras are available with proven GigE and USB 3.0 interfaces and include the feature set PGI, a unique combination of 5x5 Debayering, Color-Anti-Aliasing, Denoising and Improved Sharpness. The GigE models also offer powerful GigE Vision 2.0 features such as PTP. The pylon Camera Software Suite from Basler ensures a fast and simple integration of the ace cameras.
