AAEON, a leading developer of industrial, IoT, and AI computing solutions, has received a pair of 2019 Taiwan Excellence Awards. The accolades recognize the “innovative value” of the BOXER-8120AI, an advanced box PC built for AI applications, and the AIOT-IP6801, a rugged IoT gateway device. This is the second triumph for these systems, as they were both named COMPUTEX d&i Award winners earlier this year.
Handed out every year since 1993, the Taiwan Excellence Awards are known around the world as a symbol of excellence and innovation. Products are judged according to the four categories of R&D, design, quality, and marketing, and only entries that perform well in each area receive awards.
The AIOT-IP6801 is a rugged IoT gateway device with an IP68 rating, M12 ports, and a -20oC~60oC operating temperature range. Onboard WiFi and Bluetooth, along with support for LoRa technology, guarantees Internet connectivity.
The BOXER-8120AI is a high-performance, low power-consumption machine vision system with support for four IP cameras. Utilizing the power of the NVIDIA Jetson TX2 supercomputer, the groundbreaking BOXER-8120AI integrates hardware and software AI solutions into a single device.
Speaking about the awards, AAEON CEO Howard Lin said, “It means a lot to the company to be recognized again for our innovative design, and it’s especially good to know that AAEON products are making it easier for our customers to do business.”
