ManTech to Promote BETSS-C Mission in Iraq

ManTech International Corporation, a global supplier of novel technologies and solutions for utilization in national security missions, declared that its Strategic Services Sourcing (S3) unit has been offered an award to supply Base Expeditionary Target Surveillance Systems-Combined (BETSS-C) mission in Iraq.

The multi-grant worth $70 million for use in Project Manager Night Vision/Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition (PM NV/RSTA) of the U.S. Army, will be funded for the operation to be carried out for two years with an extension of another one year upon necessity.

ManTech will supply BETSS-C operators as well as managerial, logistics, administrative and business assistance for utilization in Iraq.

The BETSS-C will facilitate  force security, perimeter inspection and battle command at forward-operating bases, joint security stations and combat outposts across  entire Iraq. The system is capable of exhibiting a digital map view of images, video and other data from ground sensing devices, pan-tilt-zoom imagers, medium and long-range electro-optical/infrared sensing units and radars fixed on aerostats, towers and other automated aerial vehicles to assist the commanders.

Louis M. Addeo, president and chief operating officer at ManTech’s Technical Services Group stated that their transmission and electronics proficiency combined with the in-theater mission support expertise will enhance the BETSS-C mission operations and that they are highly pleased to prolong their services to the U.S. and the coalition mission in Iraq.
