AMS Technologies, Europe's leading solution provider and distributor for optical, power and thermal management technologies, has added the high-voltage solutions of French manufacturer SDS High Voltage to its portfolio.
AMS Technologies now offers its European customers both ultraminiaturized DC/DC high-voltage converters as well as bench-top and custom high-voltage power supplies, especially for optical applications such as Pockels cells, lasers, detectors and photodiodes.
Technical solutions in the fields of optoelectronics and power electronics often require high voltages – voltages that are provided by the DC/DC converters and laboratory equipment of the French supplier SDS High Voltage, in a particularly compact design and with high stability. Based on its extensive expertise in high-voltage converters and optical applications, SDS High Voltage offers a wide range of high-voltage solutions, from DC/DC modules of just over 1 cm3 in size to AC/DC converters with up to 50 kV output voltage and power ratings from 100 mW to 100 W.
The customer can choose between devices with fixed voltage output and solutions whose output voltage can be modulated via analog input or via a PC interface. Typical applications for this product range are mainly in the field of photonics (such as photomultiplier tubes, flash lamps, avalanche photodiodes, focusing optics or gas chromatography) but also include electro chuck, inkjet printing or spectrometers.
Thanks to the distribution agreement now concluded with SDS High Voltage, AMS Technologies can provide its customers with this broad technology portfolio – ranging from the French manufacturer’s standard products to implementing high-voltage solutions for very customer-specific requirements.
This approach fits perfectly into the strategy of AMS Technologies, since the company acts as a »one-stop shop« for the technology areas of thermal management, power electronics and optoelectronics with its broad portfolio of products and services ranging from components to complete systems and sees itself as an extended workbench for the customer or client.
"Far beyond mere product delivery, we are supporting our clients during the entire project or life cycle", Jan Meise, CEO of AMS Technologies, explains the company’s strategy, "from consulting to system concept and project planning to development, prototype construction and series production."
