The Water Conservation Program in the city of Woodland is providing a $150 reduction in weather-oriented irrigation controllers as well as a reduction in $25 for the rain sensors.
The cash discounts will be available to the residents of the city and commercial water clients. To claim r the WBIC deduction, the clients have to substitute their conventional irrigation controllers with standard weather-oriented irrigation controllers, called the WBICs or smart controllers.
To gain discount for rain sensors, the clients should posses a functional un-manned irrigation system with a rain sensor integrated in it. The WBICs or the intelligent controllers will provide precise modified irrigation by self-customizing the irrigation process in the fields and altering the water utility with respect to the fluctuating weather conditions. The WBICs help monitoring water conditions in landscapes, thus lowering unnecessary water wastage.
The rain sensing units are miniature equipments that switch off a self-programmable landscape irrigation unit during rain. These devices can be installed in outdoor places and can be linked to the self-programmable irrigation systems using wires or without wires thus cutting down the water costs and conserving it.
The rebate on WBIC/rain sensing devices are supported based on the resident’s demands.
