nPulse Technologies Demonstrates Latest Version of HammerHead Capture

The network sensors giant nPulse Technologies has demonstrated its latest version of HammerHead Capture and Replay appliance at FOSE 2010.

The Hammer Head

nPulse develops 10Gbps network sensors meant for applications in security, forensics and monitoring. The new Model 420 captures traffic and then records and replays it at speeds up to 20Gbps which allows for duplex recording.

The traffic captured is saved in standard PCAP file format so as to facilitate ease of analysis by the Wireshark application or other similar applications. The HammerHead 420 comes with a pre-installed Wireshark application, a network protocol analyzer.

The Vice President of nPulse Technologies Peter Shaw stated that the company has been successfully supplying its HammerHead 320 product to a wide range of customers, including manufacturers in the telecom industry, major contractors and the Federal Government, and now the new Model 420 offers more storage, faster speed and additional capture ports.

The HammerHead Model 420 has a storage capacity of up to 64 Tb and has four 10 Gbps capture ports.
