Ohio-based environmental and energy solutions provider NexTech Materials has aligned with Therm-O-Disc, an unit of Emerson, for collaboratively advancing a novel hydrogen sensing device.
NexTech has devised an innovative hydrogen sensor made up t of ceramic, which is not affected by the action of chemicals, are highly flexible, provide fast responsiveness to the presence of hydrogen in atmospheric air, and a speedy recovery during the absence of hydrogen, explains NexTech.
The devise is capable of monitoring hydrogen concentrations in a broad range of humidity, thermal and flow rates. This unique system can be widely exploited for process controls, hydrogen fuel cell, battery monitoring, commercial manufacturing, and transportation applications.
Based on the contract, Therm-O-Disc will be delivering packaging technology, manufacturing and marketing. William Dawson, CEO of NexTech Materials, stated that they are highly honored to associate with Therm-O-Disc for developing advanced hydrogen sensing devices.
