VIdeo monitoring of industrial machinery and processes using onboard video cameras enables the real-time analysis of complex, lightning-fast production systems and is an integral part of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Cameras tasked with this critical job must exhibit absolute reliability despite high heat, humidity, heavy vibrations, and low or fast-changing light.
The Mikrotron MotionBLITZ Quad1.1S GigE recording camera demonstrates those qualities and more. Compact to fit inside dense machinery at only 65 x 65 x 120 mm, the MotionBLITZ Quad1.1S reliably delivers 1280 x 864 pixel color images at 2,500 frames-per-second (fps), even in dim lighting conditions, and while being subjected to extreme vibrations, strong shocks, and temperatures as high as 45° C (113° F).
Highlights of its feature set include 16000 MB SDRAM of internal recording storage, a suite of exposure and trigger modes, shading and defect pixel correction, and frame rates up to 16,8879 fps at reduced resolutions. The rugged metal housing is IP30 environmentally rated and most models use standard, inexpensive C-Mount lenses.
The MotionBLITZ Quad1.1S is built around a Luxima LUX13HS 1.1-megapixel CMOS sensor boasting a global shutter and large 13.7 x 13.7 µm pixels for excellent detail quality. The camera's GigE Vision interface makes it simple to integrate using standard Ethernet connectivity, meaning it can be directly connected to a host PC or laptop to record.
Mikrotron offers the Quad1.1S line in eight unique models.
