OverSight System to Monitor Berries in Transit

California-based Driscoll Strawberry Associates have been deploying a system for the constant evaluation and reporting of the security condition, temperature and location of the company’s berries that are being transported.

The company has opted for Locus Traxx’s OverSight system for enhancing the reliability and standard of their company’s food items, by integrating it on their trucks, reports a news release.

These wire-free thermal sensors or the security sensors sense the information upon opening a door. The GPS location tracking modules are integrated on refrigerated trailers. These sensing devices constantly relay the data from the truck to the OverSight information unit.

According to David Benjamin, Locus Traxx’s chief executive officer, Driscoll needed live data on their shipments and that their company has developed a completely mobile, re-usable series of the OverSight system, aligning with Driscoll. He added that this new version of this mobile device can be easily integrated to any truck/trailer association and will furnish live sensing and reporting of the data as their previous in-built installations.
