Volkswagen of America has recalled 13,500 VW models fitted with DSG transmissions that might feature faulty temperature sensors. In case of an issue, a phantom warning lamp would illuminate and result in the shift of the transmission into neutral.
The VW models that come under the list of affected models include the Eos, GTI, Jetta SportWagen, and the Jetta, which were manufactured during September 2008 to August 2009. The list includes a minority of 2010 MY vehicles, and mainly the 2009 MY vehicles. Volkswagen of America will contact the holders of the affected models to fix a meeting at a local dealer for vehicle inspection, and if required the company will perform repairs for the vehicle.
