Printed Thermal Sensors from PST Sensors

PST Sensors,a spin out of the University of Cape Town, formerly led by David Britton and Margit Harting, for revolutionizing their printed silicon technology. The major aspects of this technology are advanced with the funding provided from the SA Dept of Science and Technology, by its marketing unit called the Innovation Fund.

Apart from the company’s operation on advancing most of the applications of printed silicon in association with the basic research conducted by the UCT NanoSciences Innovation Centre, PST Sensors will be targeting the business of reactive components with sensors instead of active or passive electronics.

The printed thermal sensors, the company’s initial product series, have currently been evaluated by an autonomous third party abroad. PST Sensors is focusing on more clients for its unique thermal sensing purposes, and is recently exploring strategic relationships to utilize other functionalities and downstream processes for its manufacture and value chain.
