Thermex Temperature Distribution Films Aid in Thermal Management

New Jersey-headquartered Sensor Products, a global fabricator and supplier of tactile pressure representing solutions, announced that the demand for its Thermex temperature distribution film has increased in thermal management industry.

Thermex is a cost-effective thin film that can be deployed for any applications for checking thermal contacting surfaces having temperature in the range of 200°F to 300°F. It can be used individually or in combination with the pressure indicating film from the company.

Thermex changes its color rapidly and permanently when exposed to temperature, to show temperature distribution between two communicating surfaces. The intensity of the color transformation is related to the exposed temperature, allowing Thermex to detect the high or low temperature areas and tiny surface deviations. Thermex can be used in intrusive intolerant conditions and surfaces that cannot be accessed easily with the conventional infrared thermometers and temperature indicators.

The Thermex utilized for testing purposes can be saved for archival applications, and its lower expenses make it innately disposable. It can be modified for smaller applications, or custom cut to specific measurements.

Common applications of Thermex include lamination/press, heat sealing, flat web-type machines used in converting, heat sinking, ultrasonic welding, and clutch/brake interfaces. The post processing evaluation of Thermex can be used for temperature deviations, which has to be measured with high accuracy.
