SBIR Contract for IWT for Enhancing Unattended Ground Sensors

Innovative Wireless Technologies (IWT) has been awarded the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and the Technology (S&T) Directorate for enhancing the unattended ground sensor technology for safeguarding infrastructure and border security.

IWT Unattended Ground Sensor

Under this contract, IWT is working on the development of novel sensing technologies that will differentiate between animal and human activities, which are the main source for false alarms induced in the border security sensor systems.

These enhancements are in the process of incorporation into the Coyote UGS Unattended Ground Sensor system of IWT. This system was designed specifically for meeting the demanding needs of infrastructure protection, force protection, and border security in remote and rough terrains.
