RoofScanIR Thermographers Network for On-Roof IR Surveys of Flat Roofs

Advanced Infrared, an infrared (IR) service firm , will offer the RoofScanIR services in the Littleton, Colorado region.

Advanced Infrared's Roof Scan

RoofScanIR consists of an IR thermographer’s network that offers on-roof IR surveys for flat roofs atop the residential, institutional, industrial, and commercial buildings.

The United Infrared is the biggest network having multi-disciplined thermographers in the world. Jeff Hoffman owns the Advanced Infrared firm, which is a member of United Infrared Network and is in business since 2009 in the Colorado region. Hoffman informed that his firm uses advanced IR equipment to generate photographic quality reports that illustrate how low-sloped and flat roofs are contaminated with moisture in the subsurface of the roof.

Most of the flat roofs need to be replaced before the end of their lifecycle as the roof substrate becomes wet due to moisture ingress. It is possible to detect and record moisture problems before a roof failure occurs by conducting a qualitative IR-based roof moisture survey. This will help the roofing professional in taking informed decisions so that actions are initiated to rectify the problems without having to replace the whole roof.

This process results in increase in the roof life up to 300%, resulting in savings to the extent of many dollars for every roof for the owner.
