Pico Tech has launched a USB DrDAQ data logger with 15 channels in a small device that is cost-effective and it can be used for hobbies, by teachers and technicians.
It comes in two versions, the PicoScope and PicoLog software that help its direct deployment easy and quick. The solution includes a small microphone, light sensor, RGB LED, oscilloscope and resistance inputs, 4 digital I/O ports, 3 sensor ports, an oscilloscope input, a pH/redox sensor input and a signal generator output, the whole being powered via the USB port, eliminating the need for batteries or external power supplies. The high transfer rate made possible by the USB ensures the device to act as an oscilloscope for signals at and beyond normal audio frequencies.
Features of the module include combined function and arbitrary waveform generators, RGB LED, a function that measures pulse and a pulse-width modulation output capability. It can be used either with the company’s temperature, humidity and oxygen sensors, or with customized products.
The module comes with a free Software Development Kit (SDK) that has model programs in C, C++, Microsoft Excel and National Instruments LabVIEW. All parts are compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
