CoorsTek Invests in EmiSense

CoorsTek has invested $3 million in EmiSense Technologies, a division of San Juan, Capistrano, both for development of its existing product line as well as providing support for testing for clients across the globe.

The company is a producer of sensors that test the quality of air and enhanced oxygen, soot and simplified nitrogen oxide sensors.

Although the company made marked developments in all its products, the most significant was in its development of soot sensing devices. The products are cost effective and meet all regulations stipulated for onboard diagnostic applications. It is also meeting the regulation demanding high resolution response needed for diesel filters.

The company’s air sensors are used in both vehicles and other non-vehicular applications. The sensors will also be used in applications such as homogeneous compression ignitions and gasoline diesel injections. The company will endeavor to create smarter sensors for greater efficiency in terms of space and costs.
