Level Sensor to be Used in Harsh Climates

Vega Controls has launched level sensors to measure water and sewage levels. Sensitive radars offer safe and precise measurement even in volatile conditions.

Vega's Level Sensor

A radar sensor provides high levels of precision, whereas in an open channel flow, bright sunlight can cause errors in temperature measurement, all the more so, when information is transmitted via flow equations.

The captive radar signal can be used in cramped pumping units, while the sealed cable and tough encasing ensure a protection rating of IP66/68 (1 bar). A range of user options can be mechanically incorporated into the prevailing applications. Systems can be directly linked to the prevailing fieldbus systems, or alternatively be loop-powered from a signal-conditioning tool for pump control.

This linearization of the sensor can be programmed for the free FDT/DTM software, facilitating direct output of flow rate in open channels.
