Pyreos to Use New Funding to Develop Infrared Sensor Portfolio

Pyreos, a company situated at the Scottish Microelectronics Centre in Edinburgh that manufactures infrared sensors, has received £2 million from Angel investment syndicate Braveheart that collaborated with Siemens Technology Accelerator, Scottish Enterprises Venture Fund and Seraphim Capital for this development.

Pyreos had earlier designed the patented intellectual property for infrared sensor products and devices for Siemens, combining both Simens’ and its own technologies to design sensors to detect motion, flame detecting cameras, spectroscopy as well as gas sensors. The investment will help the company broaden its global consumer products portfolio.
