Joint Venture for Radar-Based Applications in Construction Segment

Walleye Technologies and Zircon will jointly produce construction scanning solutions. Walleye's millimeter wave technology integrated with Zircon building scanners will enable the latter to track and identify unseen objects present in wood, metal or plastic materials used in the construction industry.

The Walleye technology is yet receive patent listing, and will be used in place of more traditional technologies prevailing in the market.

According to David Holbrook, chief technology officer of Walleye, his company’s device will be used to sense wall interiors, and the technology will enhance the solid detecting software from Zircon. The solution is cost- effective and user friendly, making it ideal for both amateur and professional construction users. Zircon is known for its development of the stud finder and has also been deploying electronic equipment and wall sensors for over three decades. According to John Stauss, chief executive officer of Zircon Corporation, this development will facilitate the designing of more infrastructures to be used in the construction applications.
