Multi-Purpose Non-Contact Thermometer Re-Launched for Consumer Applications

American Scientific Resources has re-launched an updated version of its Kidz-Med 5-in-1 unconnected thermometer as the sleeker and compact Kidz-Med VeraTemp model.

The product comes with the tag line ‘Truth, Accuracy and Precision, to  boost the confidence of parents while using the device to check temperatures of babies and young children.

ASR's Non-contact thermometer

It need not be inserted in the mouth or under the arm for accurate reading of body temperature thus removing discomfort of patients and inaccuracy in temperature reading. The device is user friendly and cost- effective, and offers an accurate reading in less than a second.

A child’s or adult patient’s temperature can be checked even when the patient is sleeping because the LED backlighting display makes it convenient for no-light conditions. Since it is a no-contact device, it removes the need for frequent touching that leads to contamination, proving to be a hygienic solution.

The white and orange packaging stresses on its clinical accuracy. According to Jason Roth, senior vice president of the company, the new packaging will help customers understand the difference from the earlier version. The new product incorporates cost- effective accuracy and a smart design in a single and user friendly package. The device has to be placed on the baby’s forehead to check the temperature. It also can be used to check the temperature of a baby’s room, bath water and feed.
